For nearly 80 years, the Helsel family has owned and operated Helsel Lumber Mill. Our foresters purchase standing hardwood timber from Pennsylvania's Appalachian forests, and our crews harvest the trees.

Our Dimension Mill offerings include S2S, S4S, straight-line ripping, profile mouldings and finished mouldings.

       Seven dry kilns (5 Steam and 2 DH) give Helsel Lumber Mill the drying   capacity of 6.5 million BF annually.

Our state-of-the-art "Optimizing Rip System" provides precision, ripped-to-width lumber. This high-tech system is capable of producing 16,000 BF per day.

Our state-of-the-art "Moulder/Grinder" provides the utmost precision and quality on all finished moulding lumber providing you with top-of-the-line products. This high-tech system has the capability of producing 200 feet per minute.

We have the ability to ship orders quickly from our extensive inventory of kiln-dried hardwoods to meet your demands. All domestic and international deliveries are tracked from the onset to your destination. International sales include shipments to Europe, Asia and Canada and continue to grow at a moderate pace representing approximately 16% of annual sales.
