The National Hardwood Lumber Association ( NHLA) is a nonprofit trade association composed of more that 1800 members who produce, sell, and use hardwood lumber, or provide services to the hardwood industry.

The Pennsylvania Preferred(TM) program assists Pennsylvania farmers by encouraging consumers to purchase Pennsylvania products. At the same time, Pennsylvania Preferred(TM) comforts consumers with important quality standards.

PFPA is the only timber and forest products industry trade association in Pennsylvania that represents the state's entire forest products industry, including foresters, loggers, sawmills, and value-added processors.

The Pennsylvania Hardwoods Development Council was created by the General Assembly in 1988 to be responsible for the development, expansion and promotion of the hardwoods industry in Pennsylvania.  Since 1996, the Council has resided as a bureau-level office within the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.
