Helsel Lumber Mill offers nearly 80 years
of dedication, commitment, and excellence. Located near Blue
Knob, the business began operations in 1926 with a sawmill and three
employees producing approximately 100,000 board feet per year. The
ownership of the mill changed to another family member in 1965.
At this time, the equipment was further upgraded and the business continued
to grow.
The company's current owners purchased the mill in 2001. Helsel
Lumber Mill began exporting hardwood lumber to Canada in 1995. Since
that time, exports have expanded to include sales to Europe and Asia. Today
we export to 6 countries. Helsel now staffs 65 full-time employees
producing over 9 million board feet per year and expands over 7 acres. An
adequate hardwood inventory is maintained to promptly fulfill
orders.
Helsel's sales staff works closely with their
customers to ensure
each individual order meets customer specifications.
